Recognition of an employee who has significantly contributed to the overall success of Astra Bank…that is the mission of the Shining Star program. This award is given out on a quarterly basis to an employee who has gone above and beyond the call of duty in their day-to-day work. They are also nominated by their fellow peers.  Astra Bank is pleased to announce the three recipients of the “Shining Star” award for the 1^st quarter of 2018 are Cindy Eichman, Kameron Schmidt, and Lynn Dejmal!

Cindy has worked for Astra Bank for over a year and worked for Midwest Community Bank prior to that. She is always willing to jump in and lend a hand where needed. There are additional reasons why Cindy was nominated (and chosen) as a recipient for the award. These include:

• Cindy has worked for Astra Bank for over a year, as she was acquired through Midwest Community Bank;
• Cindy strives to be courteous to all customers and fellow employees;
• She works hard on completing all her work in a timely manner but not losing sight that customers always come first;
• Cindy is very good with building relationships with our customer… this is true with Midwest Community customers and Astra Bank customers, alike;
• Cindy shows her commitment to the Bank as she demonstrates Astra Bank’s core values;
• Whether she is on the front line, at the drive thru window, or on the phone, she demonstrates professionalism and sincerity.

Kameron has been with the Bank for three years. He takes on new responsibilities and handles challenges as they come. He is a great asset to the Astra team. Other reasons Kameron was nominated (and chosen) for the award is:

• Kameron has done a tremendous job on new account openings, and more importantly, has done this with efficiency and accuracy;
• Kameron is always pleasant to work with and goes above and beyond to try and understand what is needed in order for the customer to get the best customer service;
• Kameron always goes out of his way  to make sure that tasks are being completed on time and will assist others in any way possible;
• Kameron shows a commitment to excellence in his work;
• He has built trust within the Hays location, and when asked to do a task, he will make sure to finish it to completion;
• Kameron has shown the type of character and working culture that truly illustrates the banks vision of a truly awesome experience for our customers, our employee, our shareholders and our communities.

Lynn has been with Astra for under a year and has been a great addition to the team. He is very personable and enjoys helping both current and new customers with their loan needs. Other reasons Lynn was nominated (and chosen) for the award is:

• Lynn was hired in August of 2017 and has done a great job of bringing new loans to the Abilene location;
• Lynn has adapted well to the Astra Bank culture and has built relationships with the employees of the Bank;
• Lynn has a lot of customers who followed him to Astra Bank based on how well he does his job and how well he relates to people;
•  He works hard every day to bring in new customers and to continue to strengthen the relationships of current customers;
• Lynn is outgoing and friendly and has adjusted well to the Bank.
