Picture this: You’ve just had a delicious dinner at your favorite restaurant and are looking forward to a relaxing evening. When you get home you discover that you accidentally left your debit card at the restaurant. You may be worried that someone will use it, but if you have our new and improved mobile banking app you will worry no more! You now have the ability to turn your debit card off to help combat account fraud in the event you misplace your card right from your Astra Bank mobile app.

The Astra Bank mobile app is free to download in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. You will need to be enrolled in online banking prior to accessing mobile banking through the app. Cardholders will then have the ability to “turn off” their card when not in use, establish transaction spending limits, and even decline a transaction when the amount exceeds a predefined threshold.

Users can also easily set card limits, like transaction limits for example. It is great for controlling family spending. If a transaction exceeds a certain dollar amount the card is declined. You can even block international transactions or transactions outside of a selected area. This provides greater protection against fraud. It’s simple for our cardholders to turn ‘off’ their debit card from their smartphone, and then turn it back ‘on’ when they want to use it. Managing your cards has never been easier!
