Astra Bank is thrilled to announce the construction of a new banking facility at the corner of 27th and Main St., Hays, Kansas. Initial construction is scheduled to begin this summer with an anticipated completion date by mid-year 2025. This exciting development will be the site of a new Astra Bank building plus an additional facility to be utilized for the bank’s centralized operations services. An additional lot will be available for future development which could provide a variety of retail businesses or additional housing for the Hays community.
Astra Bank currently has a facility located in downtown Hays. “We love being part of downtown, but the building doesn’t work for us today like it did in 2013 when Astra Bank first came to Hays. Astra Bank has around fifteen team members based in Hays that support all of Astra Bank. We anticipate that number will increase as the bank grows,” said Astra Bank Hays Market President Jason Kennedy. Astra Bank will be relocating from downtown, and the City of Hays will be purchasing the downtown bank building. This project is a testament to the strong partnership between Astra Bank and the City of Hays, a collaboration that will allow both entities to thrive in spaces that best suit their needs.
