With the arrival of students on the horizon and the end of summer near, approximately 60 TMP staff members were busy preparing their classrooms, finalizing lesson plans and wrapping up meetings as they readied themselves for another school year. We bet thinking about what they are going to have for lunch is likely the furthest thing from their mind, as there are way more important things to think about – but never fear, Astra Bank is here! We were privileged to have had the opportunity to cook lunch for the TMP school staff on August 12th and couldn’t think of a better way to kick off a new school than firing up the grill!

As bankers, Astra Bank is proud to be a part of the communities in which it serves. We know the education of our youth, and those that do the educating, are critical elements to the viability of our communities. Staff members were certainly surprised when we showed up and we received many a thank yous from folks that enjoyed the meal, before heading back into their classrooms and offices to continue getting ready for the kids.

So the more you use the card, the more we can give back to the schools to help pay for books, sports equipment, supplies, special events, etc.

Here’s to a new school year and we hope the fine folks at TMP enjoyed the surprise lunch. Who knows, maybe someday we’ll show up with surprise dessert too!
