“Celebrate good times, come on!” It isn’t every day that you open a brand new location, and better yet, get to celebrate it with the community in which you serve. We were privileged to have had the opportunity to do just that last week with an open house event. Months of decisions, planning, and construction were now complete. The only thing left to do was share this occasion with…YOU!
What would an open house be without a ribbon cutting to commemorate the opening? Well, it wouldn’t be an open house that’s for sure! With the help of the Abilene Area Chamber of Commerce and approximately 60 staff, community, and chamber members, the ribbon was “cut” by President & CEO Kyle Campbell. It was a great way to officially kick off the open house event. Everyone was then invited inside to the lobby area for lunch and refreshments.
The event was held at our new location in Abilene, 207 Eagle Drive, from 9 to 4 on August 18th. Food, giveaways, tours of the building and of course good conversation was just some of the things that took place that day. There were two radio stations live on-site helping folks “boogie” their way into the new building. Along with that there was an opportunity to win two Kansas City Royals tickets and a parking pass to the upcoming game on Friday, September 8th against the Minnesota Twins. The winner unfortunately could not attend; however, he donated the tickets for a local fundraising effort to benefit an individual with cancer. That’s what is so awesome about the communities we serve…they are always willing to help out a neighbor in need.
