Astra Bank is pleased to announce the addition of Jessie Linn and Lynn Dejmal to their team! Jessie will serve as a Lending Assistant II, while Lynn will hold the position of VP Commercial Loan Officer. They will both be working in our Abilene location and bring many years of experience in the banking industry with them. So, without further ado, let’s get to know a little bit about each one of our new employees, shall we?
Jessie is a proud Abilene-ite through and through. She graduated from Abilene High School in 2005 and attended Cloud County Community College after graduation. The banking industry was calling her name shortly after in 2007 when she began working for UMB Bank. After being with UMB for six months, Jessica was promoted from a Teller to a Loan Assistant. She is very thankful for her time at UMB Bank, and owes much of her lending knowledge to the Loan Officers she worked with over the years. Jessie is also a proud mother who enjoys spending every second with her 5 year old son, Noah, who recently embarked on the journey called Kindergarten. Noah keeps his mom pretty busy outside of the office with multiple outdoor activities and numerous scooter rides at the skate park.
Lynn grew up on a farm in Munden, Kansas near Belleville. He, too, attended Cloud County Community College and later graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in Agricultural Economics. For the past 35 years, Dejmal has lived and worked in the great city of Abilene as a Commercial and Agricultural Lender at UMB Bank. Community involvement is very important to Lynn, who has served as President for many civic organizations such as Rotary Club, the Abilene Chamber of Commerce, and the Central Kansas Free Fair. In his free time, Lynn enjoys being out on the water boating and trying to catch that elusive trophy fish.
Although you will undoubtedly see Jessie and Lynn out and about in the Abilene community, be sure to stop in and “say hey” if you get the chance. They cannot wait to see familiar faces while getting to know new ones! We are very happy to have Jessie and Lynn working for us at Astra Bank.
