Summer is long gone and school has been in session for over a month now. Football games and other high school fall sports are well underway. With sports usually comes an abundant amount of school spirit from parents, students, and faculty. While there are many ways to show your school spirit, there aren’t many ways you can do that and give back to your school as well. Astra Bank is proud to provide a community-focused high school debit card program that combines school spirit and giving back.
Astra Bank recently presented USD #489 with a check for $1,076.38 that represents debit card purchases and transaction funds earned through the School Spirit Debit Card Campaign. The presentation took place on September 22nd at Lewis Field. Encompassed in that amount are the funds raised from the free will donation tailgate cookout that took place on the 22nd as well. Chris Michaelis, Athletic Director at Hays High, was very appreciative of the events that occurred. “Hays High School would like to thank Astra Bank for their support of our school and the many activities our students are involved with. All of our staff and students appreciate the tail gate meal that Astra Bank provided for our school community prior to the football game with Garden City last Friday. Thank you Astra Bank!!!!," said Michaelis.
