The smell of hamburgers and hot dogs on an open flame is good, well, just about any time. And grilling said food in preparation of a good football games makes it even that much better. But what really puts the cherry on top is when you can have a freewill donation cookout that benefits a school in your community. In conjunction with the fine folks at TMP-Marian, the cookout was held prior to the football game against Cimarron on September 29th at Lewis Field.
The Astra Bank grill set up shop just inside of Lewis Field where it began serving hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, and bottled water around 6 pm for students, faculty, fans, and supporters of TMP. The cookout was a great success, yielding over $1,250 raised to benefit the TMP Booster Club. Astra Bank is very appreciative to everyone who came out and supported the cookout. We love supporting the schools in the communities we serve, and hope to do more events like this in the future!
If you did not get a chance to join the festivities on the 29th, rest assured there will be other opportunities. Become a “fan” of our Facebook page and you will be kept up-to-date about everything we are doing in the community. Again, thank you to everyone who supported the cookout. It would not have been a success without you!
